Asleep and constantly floating away

I dreamed that it was time for me to die. I just knew it to be true. Someone was there with me, telling me not to die, but I said no no I have to do it now. My breath shortened, I felt like I was sinking and also ascending, I wasn't afraid but I wondered if I should be. I felt like it was my last chance to feel fear but I couldn't feel it.

This song gets me. That sweet cool darkness!

When I was a kid, I had recurring dreams of floating away all the time. I'd lift up one leg, and then the other leg, and with my knees bent I'd float up into the sky and had no idea how to return to the ground.

You ascend knees-first? I've had that dreamy falling sensation, but it's always been my guts first (thus the falling sensation, I guess; it's a literal gut reaction). The floaty feelings I've had haven't exactly been in a dream, more in that in-between I'm-almost-awake or I'm-almost-asleep, have started with my arms.

That sounds like a pretty nice dream, though. Easy. No fuss, no muss. I like that.

Ahahaha upside-down knees first would be amazing, but no just knees bent like I'm kneeling in mid-air.

The gut drop feeling is my favorite part of roller coasters :D

it's freeing, but also insanely scary because i can actually FEEL it and it seems so real.
